(Kenya) STL’s single enlisted as theme song for Reebok classics 2017 campaign

She Waaaay Up!

Stella Mwangi writes a lot of her music about the situation in her home country Kenya, and about discrimination both Stella and her family had to go through after moving to Norway in 1991.

Weeks after her stunt of having battled rapper Xzibit went viral, Stella Mwangi, STL is back with bigger better and factual news. Her single “Work,” off her new EP has been selected as the official theme song for Reebok Classics Free Your Style 2017 campaign.

The commercial features American singer, actress and dancer Teyana Taylor as the new face of Reebok Classic. In the video commercial Teyana is dancing to“Work” – just like in her performance in Kanye West’s “Fade” video.

Her work has been used in films such as American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile and Save the Last Dance 2, and also in TV-series such as CSI: NY and Scrubs.

Work” is Stella’s third single, off her self-titled new EP, getting Hollywood certification. Big  was leased to Donut Media – an American production that specializes in producing TV and YouTube content every week. Her single “Set it off” is also being featured on BET Africa’s, Being Mary Jane Season 4.

The self-titled EP is a fusion of songs with high energy and her distinct Hip Hop flow that yokes her fans across the globe. Fusing Swahili and English in her European songs, Stella continues to create a diverse sound while remaining authentic to her African origin and style.
