DJ Phil Peter’s Profile Philbert Nizeyimana (Born December 12 th 1988) known by his stage name DJ Phil Peter or Phil Peter is a Rwandan Dj, Mcee, Song Writer ,Radio&Tv Presenter.
In 2011, Phil Peter started as a Radio & Tv Presenter on a local Radio doing entertainment shows and later progressed as an Mc and hosted various local and regional events including Album launches, Roadshows, music competitions and awards not forgetting occasional events in hotels and bars where he could assist in playing music before the beginning of those events or later after big performers.
Due to the love he had for deejay-ing and influences from Popular free style deejays like DJ SKEI 83 and Akon’s official deejay,Benny demus,in 2014 he started learning professional turntablism and become one of the highly proclaimed Djs in the country where he started playing as an official deejay for enormous gigs in the country.
Phil Peter has Shared a stage with big African musicians in front of thousands and thousand of spectators including The Ben From Rwanda, Meddy From Rwanda, Radio and weasel From Uganda, Jacky Chandilu From Uganda, Micheal Ross and Young Mullo from Uganda , Mafikizolo from South Africa just to mention a few.
He has been on different gigs in the region either from Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda.
Dj Phil Peter is a coproduce of ROG radio�s program titled EAST WEST SHOW as a deejay and has produced a number of nonstop mixes that complies of a combination of groovy scratch techniques and music from both east and west musicians.
AWARDS AND NOMINATIONS. In 2014,Phil Peter was crowned entertainment Journalist of The Year in Rwanda by Rwanda broadcasting excellence awards and walked away with a total of 4 awards in the same night.
